CHILDREN’S favourite storybook monster the Gruffalo is back at Buxton Opera House on Sunday June 19, at 1.30pm and 3.30pm, and Monday June 20, at 10.30am and 1.30pm, with the hit stage-adaptation of the bestselling story book - The Gruffalo’s Child.

The Gruffalo’s Child is the sequel to The Gruffalo written by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. The original book sold 10.5 million copies and was the UK’s best-selling picture book in 2000. In 2009 it was made into a 30-minute animated film. The Gruffalo’s Child has become equally popular, with the book topping the best-seller list and achieving acclaim as an enchanting stage-adaptation.
