ONE of this country’s greatest classic rock bands of the 1970s is coming to Buxton Opera House next week.
The venue will be hosting an evening with the legendary Wishbone Ash on Monday October 17, at 7.30pm, as part of their 2011 World Tour.
The band will be performing iconic tracks such as The King Will Come, Throw Down The Sword and Blowin’ Free, as well as material, old and new, from an astounding 40 years of twin guitar rock.
Formed in 1969, the band gained national attention with their first album Wishbone Ash followed by a commercial peak with their third album Argus which reached number three in the UK chart.
During Wishbone Ash’s long lifespan, 22 albums have been released with several line-up changes.
