Powerful and very moving

If you missed the sell-out, eulogised performances of the Last Laugh in the 2010 Buxton Fringe Festival, here is your chance to see it again on DVD.

Judged by the Mental Health Helplines’ Partnership to be both ‘powerful’ and ‘moving’, this play is as disturbing as it is authentic.

Fringe nominee Fiona Paul puts in a towering performance as Jackie, the stand-up comedian who experiences a psychotic episode due to stress.

The Last Laugh radio play by High Peak Writers on DVD will be shown as part of the 2011 Buxton Festival Fringe at 8pm on Sunday at the Railway Hotel, Buxton.

Tickets, priced £4.50 (children and concessions £3.50), are available from 01298 77623, 07877 251 126 or email glasscoe@tiscali.co.uk.

For ages 13+ (mental health theme, contains mild swear words and disturbing content).
