Peak concert

The High Peak Orchestra, conducted by Andrew Hodkinson, is to present a concert as part of the Buxton Festival Fringe at St John’s Church, St John’s Road, Buxton, on Sunday 15th July at 7.30pm.

The programme will comprise Beethoven’s Fidelio Overture, Brahms’ Piano Concerto No 2, with soloist Ben Powell and Mozart’s 40th Symphony.

Funds raised will go to support local sufferers of the neurological condition, Myasthenia Gravis, sometimes known as the ‘Rag Doll illness’ because it causes severe muscle weakness.

Tickets cost £9 (£7 concessions, with accompanied children free) and are available on the door, from 0845 127 2190 or from MGA on 01457 858459.
