‘BUILDING Bridges, Making Waves’ is the theme of the 22nd One World Festival, which will be held in High Lea Park, New Mills, on Saturday July 2, between noon and 7pm.
This year’s event will focus on how people and groups can work together during the current economic crisis, providing support for each other and looking towards the future to ensure positive change can occur.
A varied and exciting programme of music will include live performances from Glossop-based samba band Ruido Grande, Bhangra beat music group Asian Music Talent plus New Mills homegrown talent of Roxy & Shane, Risin Tide and Aimless. There will also be free African dance workshops with Afrocats and Latin American percussion with Percussion4U.
Admission to the festival is free.
