Nonsense fun

A concert of rare works on the theme of humour, whimsy and nonsense, given by the singers and wind players of Sheffield Lydian Ensemble, will be presented as part of the Fringe Saturday 21st July at 3.00pm in Buxton Methodist Church.

It will feature “Cuttings from a Nonsense Book” (which includes “The Purple Cow”) and “My Briefcase” by John Kilpatrick, as well as a miscellany of works by other composers such as Matyas Seiber, George Nicholson and Richard Genée.

Tickets are £7 (£3 children) from the organiser or the Buxton Opera House booking office.
