THE MUSICAL talents of international jazz pianist George King will be on display at Providence United Reformed Church in New Mills later this month.

Since his hugely successful concert at the Mellor Road venue last season, King has played concerts around the UK, including the world-famous Ronnie Scott’s in London.

Tickets for the concert on Saturday February 18, at 7.30pm, are priced £9 and available from Priscilla’s Cards, Market Street, New Mills, or by phoning 0161 449 5370.

A limited number will be available on the door. A licensed bar will be available.

Forthcoming concerts include a performance by young Scottish accordionist Paul Chamberlain on Thursday March 15, and an appearance by New Mills’ own Gemma Hawkins, of the Royal Welsh College of Music, who will perform a wide repertoire of virtuoso flute pieces on Saturday April 14.

For further details about any of these concerts, call 0161 449 5370 or 01663 747599.
