An evening of sparkling entertainment is promised when two of the area’s favourite musical groups join forces for a charity concert in Buxton.
All-female acapella choir Heartbeat Chorus and musical quartet Four to the Bar will perform together at St John’s Church on Saturday October 19.
The 64-member, Marple-based Heartbeat Chorus is well-known for bringing popular classics to life with their vibrant performing style.
Four to the Bar has performed throughout the High Peak, presenting cabaret-style concerts in aid of many good local causes.
Compere for the evening is Colin Sykes, a former presenter with BBC North West Tonight, who also plays keyboards with the quartet.
“This promises to be a great night out,” said Colin.
“Heartbeat Chorus are great fun to watch and listen to and we’re really looking forward to what should be a really uplifting evening.”
Proceeds from the concert will go to Good News Family Care, better known as Charis House, which provides help for women and children in the Buxton area.
The October 19 concert at St John’s Church, on St John’s Road, starts at 7.30pm.
Tickets, priced £5, are available on the door, or you can reserve them in advance by emailing email@example.com.
