They say that one of the secrets to a well-lived life is to “dance like there’s nobody watching.”

Well, it’s advice that was taken very literally by one teenage reveller from Buxton at the T in the Park festival in Scotland last month.

Fred Rawicz’s dancing to one of his favourite tunes, Mark Ronson’s Uptown Funk, was so energetic and fun-filled that the results went “viral” with almost two and a half million people viewing it since it was posted on Youtube on July 13.

Fred said: “I love the song uptown funk and I was just like, ‘ok, I need to dance to this song’ when I heard it!

“I’m not a trained dancer or anything, I just love to dance and have a good time.

“I really didn’t think that anything would come from this video, but it’s so surreal how big it has got and how many people have seen it around the world!”

Fred has just finished school and is going to the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in October, after which he wants to be an actor.

He went to T in the Park this year because some of his favourite acts like Sam Smith and Catfish and the Bottlemen were playing, but never imagined that he would end up as one of the star attractions, if only for a few moments.

In the video, Fred is filmed dancing to Mark Ronson’s award winning track while other festival goers look on in amazement, eventually gathering round to congratulate the exhausted exhibitionist after he finishes his performance flat on his back.

Commenters on the website were full of praise for Fred and his bonkers boogieing.

Martijn Vreugde from South Africa said: “I dare you to not smile watching this,” and Fernando Pires said, “This made my day - so much fun!”
