A SPECTACULAR show to mark the opening celebrations of the 2011 New Mills Festival is to be hosted by New Mills Art Theatre.

‘The King and .... Us’ features performances from James Ruffell’s Tribute to Elvis, including the 50s era and the Vegas years, as well as White Van Man featuring Tony Audenshaw, who plays Bob Hope in the television soap Emmerdale.

There will also be performances by high-class covers group Kathy’s Band, and a drum duo featuring Pete Salisbury of The Verve and John Patterson from Milltown Studios.

The show, on Friday September 9 at 7.30pm, will feature collaborations from all of these bands, in addition to a whole host of other musicians and singers.

Tickets are priced £10 and are available from the New Mills Art Theatre box office on 01663 742364, or from The Hare and Hounds in New Mills.
