THE CHART-TOPPING Military Wives Choir will be joining Derbyshire’s critically-acclaimed Tideswell Male Voice Choir in its annual musical spectacular at Buxton Opera House later this year.
The Military Wives Choir was formed at two army bases in Devon – the Royal Marines Base, Chivenor and the Royal Citadel, Plymouth.
With a 2011 Christmas number one “Wherever You Are”, written by royal wedding composer Paul Mealor, and a new album “In My Dreams” released last month, this choir has made a remarkable musical journey since its inception.
Dennis Kay, Tideswell Male Voice Choir Principal Conductor and Director of Music, said: “I am delighted that the original Military Wives Choir will be joining us on stage and bringing its special choral sound to our show at the Opera House.
“Following last year’s brilliant show with the Band of the Royal Air Force College, this year will be our biggest ever.
“Don’t miss the opportunity to see and hear the Military Wives Choir live in Buxton, along with an exciting new programme from the men of Tideswell MVC.”
Tickets for the performance on Sunday October 7 are available on 01298 77947 or from the Buxton Opera House Box Office on 0845 127 2190.
