Military Tattoo

THIS year’s line-up at Buxton Military Tattoo includes several performers that have been in the news recently

126 (City of Derby) Squadron Air Training Corps has been presented with the Morris Trophy which is awarded for the best Squadron Inspection in the United Kingdom. This will come as no surprise to those who saw their breathtaking display of Weapons Drill at the Tattoo last year.

Chris Thornton, Event Manager of Buxton Military Tattoo, said: “We are delighted that ‘126’ are back in the Tattoo this year with another display, and having seen it performed in front of the Commander-in-Chief Air Command, Air Chief Marshal Sir Simon Bryant, I can assure the audience that it will be every bit as exciting as it was last year.”

Even more spectacular was Trooping the Colour in London which this year was centred on the Scots Guards. Buxton Military Tattoo is proud to have guardsmen from 1st Battalion Scots Guards taking part.

Buxton Military Tattoo takes place in the Devonshire Dome on Saturday July 9 with performances at 2pm and 6pm.

Tickets for both performances are still available from Buxton Opera House on 0845 127 2190.
