Buxton Opera House is taking a break from its usual outdoor production of Shakespeare to present a must-see show for all the family – King Arthur & The Sword in the Stone.

It will be performed in the Pavilion Gardens on Saturday June 30 and Sunday July 1, at 5pm.

With the country in turmoil, Merlin chooses a local boy called Wart as pupil. They set off for London and Wart learns important lessons about how to be just and wise.

When they arrive, the biggest competition of them all is ‘The Sword in the Stone’ pulling competition… but who will win and become Ruler of The Kingdom?

Cambridge Touring Theatre takes a merry romp through the world of magic and mystery with their robust and comical musical adaptation suitable for all ages. Audiences are encouraged to take along low-backed seats or rugs to sit on.

Tickets for King Arthur & The Sword In The Stone are priced at £9 for children and £13 for adults. Discounts are available.
