THE LEGENDARY Mart Rodger Manchester Jazz band will appear for the Rotary Club of Hope Valley’s ninth Charity Jazz Evening.

The event, for fans of traditional and dixieland jazz, will be held at Calver Village Hall on Saturday October 13.

All the profits will be donated to the Helen’s Trust and other local charities.

Rotarian Alisma Clark said the event was expected to be a sell-out: “This is another great opportunity to follow in the footsteps of famous jazz personalities like Humphrey Lyttelton, Cy Laurie, Marion Montgomery, Yank Lawson and Middleton Pollock, who have all shared in wonderful evenings with Mart Rodger.

“At the same time, fans will be helping a most-deserving Peak District charity.”

Tickets cost £10 and can be booked through Rtn Alisma Clark on 01433 631 585.
