A FUNDRAISING concert by a Disley musician and his band has raised over £1,000 for charity.

Mart Rodger Manchester Jazz played a concert at The Players Theatre on Saturday, to raise money for the Pauline Browne Memorial Fund at St. Ann’s Hospice in Heald Green.

Pauline, who sadly died at the hospice a year ago, was the wife of the band’s pianist Roger Browne.

Janet Rodger said: “The theatre was full, the audience was most appreciative, and the event raised £1,180.10 for the hospice.

“We were all thrilled with such a great result.”
