They’re here, they’re live and they are going for no less than The Full Monty!
For the very first time, New Mills Art Theatre presents the stage musical show of The Full Monty from 15-18 June at 7.15pm.
Many will remember the 1997 comedy film and will not be disappointed with the stage show. The musical version written by Simon Beaufoy, with music and lyrics by David Yazbek, is set in Buffalo, New York, and tells the same story of six out-of-work steel workers, who in desperation decide to form a ‘Chippendales’ type striptease troupe to raise big money – and for one night only – to go for The Full Monty. Their journey is hilarious, but also highlights the problems unemployment brings to families.
The mainly local cast members are excited to be the first company to perform The Full Monty on the Art Theatre stage, and are sure to deliver a night to remember! So if you want a good night out, be prepared to laugh from start to finish, as the story unfolds – up to the final - Full Monty!
Please note: this production is not suitable for children as it contains strong language and adult themes.
The Art Theatre boasts a beautiful 500 seater auditorium, licensed bar etc. and is entirely run and supported by society volunteers for the last 52 years, producing live entertainment for the community.
All profits from ticket sales go back into the upkeep of the theatre. If you would like to know more about the history of The Art Theatre, future programme, or join the society go to http://www.arttheatre.co.uk/
