Older women are often see-through. Maxine Jones shakes off her invisibility cloak and steps into the spotlight with a stand-up comedy sketch on routine, superpowers and shyness.
Maxine brings her latest show, Invisible Woman, to Underground Venues from July 12 to July 16, at 5.30pm, as part of the Buxton Festival Fringe.
A newcomer to stand-up comedy, she played to packed rooms at the Edinburgh Festival last year with her debut show Embarrassing Mother, about bringing up her sons.
Her second show, Invisible Woman, is about repossessing her life as an older, unattached woman – with superpowers.
Tickets, priced £5 and £7, are available at www.underthefringe.com or on 0208 144 0070
