THE SOUND of Japanese drums will echo around Tideswell Church during a spectacular evening of entertainment on Sunday March 10.

The fantastic ensemble of Mugenkyo Taiko Drummers, who have toured up and down the UK and Europe, including the O2 Stadium and last year at Buxton Opera House, will be the guests of Tideswell Theatre.

The concert, which starts at 7.30pm, will integrate powerful taiko rhythms with tightly knit choreography and theatrical and lighting effects.

The performance is not just drumming - it’s a complete aural and visual experience which captivates the audience from start to finish.

It is being brought to Tideswell through Live and Local, the Arts Council and local authority supported scheme to bring great theatre and music to local communities.

Tickets, priced £9.50 and £7.50, are available from Tideswell Post Office and Litton Shop. Bookings can also be made by emailing theatre@tideswell.net or calling 01298 871063.

l Tideswell Community Players’ spring production, to be performed in late April, will be Ladies Day by Amanda Whittington, a comedy about four women from Hull who go to the races for the day.
