A SCOTTISH singer/songwriter made famous for his role as a founding member and front man of Del Amitri is to appear at Buxton Opera House

Justin Currie is well remembered for his string of hits in the 1990s including Nothing Ever Happens, Always The Last To Know, Stone Cold Sober and Kiss This Thing Goodbye.

He comes to Buxton Opera House on Thursday May 10, at 7.30pm.

Currently working as a successful solo artist, Justin’s music is dominated by strong imagery and storytelling, powerful yet understated vocals and a sound that, while firmly rooted in 90s pop-rock, translates beautifully into modern, urban ballads.

With influences from Nick Cave, Crowded House and Mark Lanegan – his music is hauntingly dark, yet refreshingly uplifting.

Tickets, priced £20, are available from the Box Office on 0845 127 2190 or online at www.buxtonoperahouse.org.uk.
