BUXTON Opera House is staging an open-air performance of one of the most popular and romantic comedy plays of all time.

Following the success of last year’s open-air production of Shakespeare, The Importance of Being Earnest will be performed in the Pavilion Gardens on Saturday August 11 and Sunday August 12, at 6pm.

Featuring a cast of unforgettably larger than life characters, Oscar Wilde’s hilarious tale will be presented in full period costume by Chapterhouse Theatre Company.

Audiences are invited to picnic. Tickets, priced £9 for children and £13 for adults, are available from the Box Office on 0845 127 2190 or online at www.buxtonoperahouse.org.uk.
