AS PART of the Buxton Fringe Festival, Imagine Theatre Company, now in its fifth year, presents ‘Maskerade’ by Terry Pratchett - a follow-up to last year’s incredibly popular ‘Wyrd Sisters’.
This year Pratchett’s witches Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg set out on weird and wonderful adventures, delving into the chaos of opera life, to investigate a mysterious ghost who is murdering cast members at the Ankh-Morpork Opera House.
‘Maskerade’ by the wonderfully witty Terry Pratchett is a story that takes you back to your mischievous childhood days, giving the Imagine Theatre Company yet another chance to do what they do best – and superbly!
‘Maskerade’ is co-directed by Alex Archer and for the first time stepping away from the footlights, Miss Natalie Bell. Returning Fringe performer Lucy Jones, Fringe award winner, flies in on her broom in commanding form to revive the role of Granny Weatherwax.
Dan Large’s perfect comic timing is put to good use in his portrayal of the opera house’s director of music, while new and old faces come together with genuine passion, dedication and a great sense of fun.
‘Maskerade’ will be performed at Buxton Community School Drama Studio on Friday July 15 at 7pm, and Saturday July 16 at 2pm and 7pm.
Tickets, priced £7 for adults or £4 for concessions, are available on 07843 591 795.
