Boy wonder of the ballet world

Award-winning, scene-stealing dance company Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo return.…in size 12 pointe shoes.

The world’s favourite boy ballet company presents an inspired blend of their loving knowledge of dance, their brilliant comic approach and the astounding fact that men can dance en pointe without falling flat on their faces!

Hurtling through the classical ballet repertoire with their inimitable blend of skill, grace and a wit as sharp as scissors en pointe, The Trocks (as they are known to their friends) have been a global phenomenon since they formed in New York in 1974.

As the darlings of the ballet world, The Trocks combine a genuine love of their art with parody and preening in their laugh-a-minute shows that will delight both The Trocks initiated and dance novices.

The company will be performing at The Lowry, Salford, on November 6 and 7.

Fans have the chance to watch The Trocks in an Open Rehearsal on Friday from 4.15pm to 6.20pm which is free but must be pre-booked.

There is also an opportunity for the over 50s to take part in a Trocks masterclass on Saturday from 12pm to 1.30pm, followed by a trip behind the scenes to see a make-up demonstration and talk to one of the company, from 2pm to 3pm.
