Former farmer, hotelier and concert pianist turned award winning Derbyshire poet F Philip Holland has followed up on his previous successes with a new book, now available for purchase.
Featuring illustrations from his wife Pat and an introduction by renowned poet Roger Elkin, Holland’s 80 piece work, entitled “Jigsaw”, blends a range of genres, incorporating poetry and prose, and brings together previously unpublished writings from the past three years.
He is a regular on the local and national arts scene, having appeared at such notable events as the Edinburgh Fringe, and has had work featured on BBC Radio 4 and BBC’s North West Tonight, amongst others.
Mr Holland is perhaps best known for his first publication “Words of a Derbyshire Poet”, as well as his compendium of Derbyshire dialect, “Words of the White Peak.”
The book launch is at Brierlow Bar Bookstore on Sunday August 12 and for more information contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
