A SPECIAL event is being held in Whaley Bridge next month to raise awareness and funds for charity.
A tea party and talk will take place at the Mechanics Institute on April 12, during National PSP Awareness week, organised by the PSP Association.

Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (or PSP) is a neurodegenerative disease which leaves sufferers unable to walk, talk, eat, drink or see.
PSP nurse Maggie Rose will give a talk about the disease and answer questions. Refreshments will be available.

The event takes place from 2pm to 4.30pm.

Tea is £3.50 with proceeds going to the charity, set up by Sara and Michael Koe in 1994.

For more information on the disease and the Afternoon Tea for PSP events, see the website, www.pspeur.org or call 01327 322410.
