AFTER the fine weather for Whaley's Water Weekend the organisers of Whaley Bridge Rose Queen will be hoping for similar luck.
They are urging people to turn out in force to make the carnival procession a parade to remember and also support the events arranged during the week.

The parade, which will start from the historic Canal Basin, will wind its way through the town before celebrations continue at Whaley Bridge Primary School.

Taking centre stage again this year will be Rose Queen Sarah Tolley.

Both she and Rosebud Hollie Wilman agreed to continue for a second year after only two girls put themselves forward for the 2009 royalty.

The two new faces to this year's royalty are Princess Caitlin Brody and Petal Tegan-Rose Morris.
