CHURCHES Together in Whaley Bridge have launched a Luncheon Club so people living on their own in the community to enjoy a good hot meal in pleasant company.
Volunteers from various churches in the town gathered at Whaley Bridge Uniting Church for the first Luncheon Club, preparing an appetising two-course cooked lunch.

Similar lunches will be served at the Uniting Church at 12pm on the last Thursday of every month. The menu will vary from month to month, and those who go along will have the opportunity to book tickets for next month's lunch after their meal.

Tickets for the first meal sold out, so CTWB intend to increase the numbers of tickets available in the months ahead.

For further information, or to purchase a ticket, please call Whaley Bridge Uniting Church on 01663 734479.
