THE HISTORIC significance of Whaley Bridge's transhipment warehouse could soon be recorded in a special plaque on the side of the building.
High Peak Borough Council has granted listed building consent for the installation of a red circular plaque on the eastern elevation of the Grade II* structure.

Installation of the plaque would be part of a pilot scheme being promoted by the Transport Trust.
