POLICE are appealing for witnesses after the window of a Renault Clio was smashed at the Whaley Bridge Uniting Church on Buxton Road at Whaley Bridge.
The incident happened at 4.40pm on Saturday, August 16.

At around the same time two youths were seen in the area.

PC Sarah Radley said: "A witness has told us that these youths were between 16 and 20-years-old.

"One was dressed in black clothes and the other was wearing a grey hoodie.

"They walked behind the church and then walked off towards the White Hart pub.

"They may not have been involved in the offence, but shortly after they were seen the vehicle was found damaged."

Anyone with any information about the offence should contact PC Radley at Chapel-en-le-Frith Police Station on 0845 123 33 33, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
