DIGNITARIES will be joining people from across the country to celebrate Corpus Christi in Whaley Bridge on Saturday.
Those invited include the High Sheriff of Derbyshire, the Lord Lieutenant of Derbyshire, the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire and the Mayor of High Peak.

The event starts at Whaley Hall Community of the King of Love at 1pm with a service before a procession led by Hawk Green Brass Band makes its way across the park to Park Road, Macclesfield Road and Market Street.

The Blessed Sacrament will be taken during a small service at the Uniting Church in Whaley Bridge at 2.30pm before returning to Whaley Hall for high tea and Benediction.

Father Jamie from Whaley Hall said: "This tradition is very old – it goes back to the 10th century."

Contact Father Jamie on 01663 732495 or visit www.whaleyhallckl.org.uk for details.
