A GRADUATE bride looking to teach Hospitality turned to the University of Derby campus to host her Big Day - the first former student to do so.
Laura Gale, 24, of Buxton, will graduate with a 2:1 for her BA (Hons) degree in Education and Hospitality in December. She wants to use her qualification to teach hospitality studies.

She was one of the first degree students to attend the University of Derby's Devonshire Campus, in Buxton, when it opened in September 2005. Laura liked the look of its dramatic Dome so much that she has just held her wedding reception there.

Laura and fiancé David Green, 31, also a Buxton resident and owner of The Toy Shop on Terrace Road, were married at the Buxton Methodist Church on Saturday November 3 and held their wedding reception at the Dome afterwards.

Laura said: "I was one of the first students at the Devonshire Campus. They were still restoring it then. "The course was amazing and the Dome was such a beautiful building to work in. It was nice to be part of something new."
