BUXTON will travel to face Witton Albion in the UniBond Premier Division play-off semi-final - following a 5-0 drubbing at Gateshead on Saturday.
Saturday's heavy defeat on Tyneside, coupled with Eastwood Town's 3-1 win away at Leek Town, means the Bucks finish the regular season in fifth place, occupying the last play-off spot.
Witton's surprise 3-0 home defeat by Worksop Town means they e
nd the season in second place, missing out on top spot and automatic promotion to the Blue Square North. This honour went to Fleetwood Town, who ended their season with a 1-1 draw with Frickley Athletic for their third promotion in four seasons.
The results mean Witton will have home advantage in Tuesday's semi-final play-off clash with Buxton, as will Gateshead over Eastwood Town. Both games kick-off at 7.45pm.
At the bottom of the table, Eastwood's victory over Leek condemned the Staffordshire side to relegation on goal difference. They drop out of the league, along with Stamford, who lost 3-2 to Marine, and Lincoln United.
