JASON Bradley's superbly taken hat-trick booked Buxton's place in the promotion play offs to make manager John Reed's "dream come true" – and left their opponents floundering.
The home side dominated from kick off and Bradley could have scored after four minutes when only faced with keeper Jon Hood – but could not reach the ball in time.

Four minutes later he found the back of the net with a stunning strike that chipped the keeper and opened the scoring in style.

His second was in the 19th minute followed a free kick when Tony Lennon was fouled. Neil Ross fired into the box and Bradley tapped in. He then turned provider with a great cross which Ross latched onto, turned and fired past Hood for 3-1.

The visitors struggle was made worse ten minutes before the break when Jon Groome saw red for a nasty challenge.

Bradley had sights on a hat-trick now and was denied by fantastic point blank save by Hood in the second half. Anton Foster's shot was then deflected only as far as Bradley who made no mistake to earn himself the match ball with his third on 60 minutes.

Tommy Agus went close on 79 minutes before Bradley almost grabbed his fourth but Hood produced a couple of decent saves to keep the Bucks tally at four goals.

* Jubilant Buxton boss John Reed had nothing but praise for his team after they secured their play off place with a superb victory over Frickley Athletic.

Reed was delighted with the team's performance on Tuesday night and feels his side have nothing to fear from next week's play offs.

"It was a fantastic display backed by an absolutely fantastic vocal crowd. It is just wonderful. Nobody expected us to get anywhere near the play offs and we can relax because all the pressure is on Witton, Fleetwood and Gateshead.

"Nicky (Law) set the foundations with two fantastic years and for me to come in, build this team and get into the play offs at the first time of asking is just a dream come true."

Who Buxton play will not be known until the outcome of this weekend's results. Buxton are at Gateshead – 3pm kick-off.

Buxton: Hartley, Black, Agus, Maxfield, Anderson, Foster, Lennon (Turley 45), Towey (Balfe 61), Ross (Walker 45), Bradley, Lees.
Attendance: 414.
