BUXTON FC legend Mark Reed has re-signed for the club.
Mark, 27, who has signed from Cammell Laird until the end of the season, holds the Bucks' post-war scoring record of 119 goals in 184 (19) appearances, between October 2002 and October 2007.

Manager John Reed said: "This is massive news, a massive signing. He has been a great ambassador for this football club.

"Getting him back will give the whole place an absolute buzz, both among the players and the supporters.

"It will also take a little bit of pressure off Gav Knight, who has a fantastic record of scoring 15 goals in 19 games."

Reed could have made his Silverlands return on Tuesday night in the rearranged League Cup clash with Matlock Town. But the game was postponed due to a frozen pitch, and is now due to take place on Tuesday December 9 (kick-off 7.45pm).
