FORMER Barnsley and Doncaster Rovers player Mark Hume has signed for Buxton FC.
Hume, who can play as either a centre forward or central defender, joins the Bucks from Blue Square North side Harrogate Town.

A former trainee of Barnsley's youth academy, Hume, 30, joined Doncaster in 1998, scoring six goals in just eight appearances.

He has also spent time at Barrow, Gainsborough and Gateshead, and previously played under Buxton boss John Reed at Stalybridge Celtic, scoring 11 times in 45 appearances.

Buxton are believed to have beaten off strong competition from Telford, Hyde and Alfreton Town to secure his signing.
