Rain hampered every game in the Peak Sports Derbyshire and Cheshire Cricket League on Saturday as very little action was possible due to heavy downpours.

Play only got underway in a handful of fixtures, all of which failed to be completed.

Old Glossop made 169 all out at The Park against Buxton in Division One, with the hosts 85-4 in reply before the weather intervened.

Similarly, Whaley Bridge reached 13-1 at Compstall in Division Two and Hollingworth were 14-0 at Woodley before both games were abandoned.

In Division Three, Dove Holes’ total of 196-5 wasn’t threatened by High Lane who got as far as 93-7 before the rain arrived, and Buxworth reached 42-1 against Broadbottom in Division Four.
