Hope Valley recorded their biggest win of the season as they crushed Bowdon 60-7.

Valley started well and put the visitors under the kosh, forcing a string of penalties.

They opened the scoring after some good work from Somerton saw the ball passed through the backs for Maskrey to score, which was converted by Somerton. Further infringements were capitalised on by Valley with Somerton powering over 12-0.

Bowdon then put concerted presuure on the Hope line, but great defence from Ryder allowed B. Brown to break away, with Johnson in support running another try in from the 22 to make it 19-0.

Bowdon had not lost spirit and again were camped on the home line and scored a converted try to make it 19-7 at half-time.

But it was one way traffic in the second half as the home side dominated, with a great backs move seeing B. Brown score.

Not to be outdone, S. Brown made a great break down the middle to grab another to make it 29-7.

Boak, always in the thick of it, then broke through and set up S. Brown for another, converted by Ryder.

The Valley backs were all making ground, with good work from Rawson and Elliott.

Maskrey made another break to get his second, with S. Brown converting to make it 43-7.

A clever break and chip through from Charmasson set up Rawson for another. Further tries from B. Brown and Somerton made the final score 60-7 in a game played in great spirit for the full 80 minutes.
