Buxton Hitmen continued their preparations towards the new campaign, with the re-signing of Ryan Blacklock.
The 24-year-old will hope for a better year after an injury-affected 2013 season.
Blacklock said: “I am overwhelmed to be asked back to the Hitmen for a fourth season running.
“My aims for this year are to have a consistent season, injury-free of course.
“Every time I started to go well something broke or got hurt and knocked me off my stride.
“This year should hopefully be my best yet as I am putting in a lot of training off the bike.
“I would like to try and get the number 1 race jacket this season to be honest and hopefully make an appearance in the Premier League at some point.”
Hitmen boss Jayne Moss said: “Ryan is always a popular addition to the team as he never knows when to give up.
“This year we are hoping that he can become a solid points scorer for us.”
Blacklock becomes the fourth rider to commit to the Hitmen in the close season, following in the footsteps of Liam Carr, Tom Woolley and Adam Extance.
The Hitmen begin their season on April 29, away at defending champions Cradley.
