Division One leaders Dinting entertained New Mills and saw the visitors compile 173 all out as M Birchenall hit 79.
In reply Dinting needed three from the last which they achieved to finish 174-6, Martyn Knight with 41 and A Bleakley 37 not out.
At the other end of the table, bottom side Hayfield posted 197-7 at home to Compstall, Gareth Davies hitting 73. It wasn’t to be enough as D Bailey hit an unbeaten 90 to help Compstall to 200-6.
Old Glossop compiled 195 all out at home to Broadbottom with Steve Croft taking 6-57. Aaron Walsh then hit 50 and Ryan Welsh 89 not out as Broadbottom raced to 198-2.
Tintwistle hosted Hawk Green and were bowled out for 100 by the visitors, Pete Richards taking 5-24. Hawk Green then slumped to 37 all out, Martin Harris taking 3-1.
Mottram continued their pursuit of Dinting with victory at Whaley Bridge. Their 226-8, thanks to 75 from Steffan Fielding, was enough as Whaley posted 178-8.
Woodley secured a vital win at home to Hadfield, scoring 205-9 with Jamie Kay hitting 54. Hadfield were then limited to just 73-6 as they found runs hard to come by.
In Division Two, Buxton were bowled out for just 78 by Dove Holes as Dave Cartledge took 5-22.
D Jones then hit a quickfire 41 not out and M Vernon 35 as Dove Holes raced to 80-1.
Promotion-chasing Buxworth sealed a 92-run win at home to Charlesworth as C Ripley’s 54 set them up for 212-8. The visitors were then dismissed for 120.
Nick Hayward’s unbeaten 101 was enough for Hazel Grove to record a six-wicket win at High Lane.
Birch Vale were bowled out for 93 at Hollingworth, who then slumped to 77 all out.
Chapel went for just 83 at Newton, who then saw S Stephens hit 46 as they cruised to 84-1.
In Division Three, Old Glossop fell to a six-wicket loss at Broadbottom.
Dove Holes narrowly overcame Hayfield, winning by 18 runs.
Woodley won at Hafield, despite 78 from the hosts’ N McGraw.
Mark Barnard’s 73 not out sealed a seven-wicket win for Newton against Hawk Green.
Mottram fell to a narrow loss at home to Hollingworth, while James’ Stevens 69 saw New Mills seal a nine-wicket win at home to Dinting.
In Division Four, Whaley Bridge lost by two wickets to Birch Vale thanks to D Platt’s unbeaten 98.
Charlesworth sealed a three-wicket win at Buxworth to maintain their promotion hopes.
Buxton suffered a 65-run collapse at Compstall despite J Goddard hitting 48.
Hazel Grove piled on 235-6 (A Rodgers 52 not out) to defeat High Lane, who could only muster 193-4.
