Taekwon-do students are a hit at area championships

Buxton Taekwan-do Club celebrating their success at the recentNorth Midlands Championships

STUDENTS from Buxton Taekwon-do Club returned with medals from the North Midlands Area Championships, held in Derby.

The annual contest attracts a very high standard of students from across the North West, competing in patterns and sparring.

Anthony Briddon, James Tarr and George Bradbury all won bronze medals in sparring, while Daniel Owen, Ethan Owen and Ali Gratton competed well but just missed out on the medals.

Instructor Jane Holmes said: “I am very proud of all the students who took part in the competition and pleased with what they have achieved.”
