WITH three goals in each half, and a maximum of 16 players in their squad, Buxton demolished their Warwickshire opponents, although the visitors did reply with two short corner goals.
An accurate pass from the right, this time from S Meaton to Sewell, set-up the second goal from near the penalty spot.
Just before half-time, midfielder Drennan found S Meaton in the D who scored the third from the narrowest of angles, just inside the far post.
Then, on a rare excursion into the Buxton half, the Adders replied from a short corner, beating goalkeeper Balderstone.
In the second half, captain Danson scored twice, deflecting shots by M Lomas and Sewell just by the left-hand post from short corner routines.
Atherstone scored their second goal from another short corner, the deflection making it impossible for Balderstone to save.
Finally, Buxton got their sixth goal when Houghton was in the right place to get a tap-in, following good work by S Meaton.
