Plenty of support for Chapel event
A SCORE of 71 was enough for John Simpson and Hilary Chatterton to win Chapel-en-le-Frith Golf Club's Chatsmith Trophy on Bank Holiday Monday.
The mixed major competition was played in fine weather, with all competitors enjoying the well-supported event.
Second place, with a score of 72, went to Ray and Barbara Beech, ahead of Alistair and Pam Grant, with a score of 75.
Mick and Pat Dean won the two's competition.
The competition was followed by a meal provided by the new catering team, led by Simon Hibbert.
