Unbe-Lee-vable

TRIATHLETE Diane Lee blew away the competition on her way to victory in the Mont Ventoux Long Distance Triathlon in Provence, France, recently.

The event comprised of a 3km open water swim, a 135km bike leg tackling the ‘Giant of Provence’, the Mont Ventoux, and a punishing 30km run.

Lee shrugged off the wet and windy conditions to carry a 13-minute lead into the cycle leg, and despite a torturous 21km climb up the Mont Ventoux, she led off the bike onto the run with a massive lead of one hour and 25 minutes over the next female competitor, to eventually finish clear overall women’s champion.
