Ryan Blacklock has become the sixth rider to commit to Buxton Hitmen for the 2015 National League campaign.

Blacklock, who has proved to be one of the most popular riders in recent years, first donned the Hitman bib in 2011 and is back for a fourth straight season at Hi-Edge.

“I’m pleased to be back again at Buxton and looking forward to this season,” he said.

“Personally I’m looking for a consistent year and plan to get plenty of practice in over this winter.”

Blacklock is quick to point out that he believes his 4.55 average is well below his potential.

He added: “I know I am quick enough to beat most riders in the National League but it’s consistency that lets me down.

“I feel on most tracks I have the speed, but silly mistakes tend to see me fall - I’m a racer and go for it!”

The inclusion of Blacklock means that the Hitmen now have just one rider spot left to fill.

There will also be an announcement shortly about a new team manager at Hi-Edge.

Team boss Jayne Moss is delighted at how plans are progressing ahead of the new season: “It’s all coming together nicely and we’re really looking forward to the new season.”
