Sean Phillips is the latest rider to agree terms with Buxton Hitmen ahead of the upcoming campaign.

Phillips stepped in at short notice a couple of times for the Hitmen last season and is keen to grab his chance of regular National League racing with both hands.

The 18-year-old, who was born in Plymouth, started riding in 2010 on a 350cc at Pinjar Park, West Australia.

Last season saw him compete in the Midland Development League with Long Eaton and he has been looking for an opportunity over the close season to step up.

Phillips joins Liam Carr, Ryan Blacklock and Tom Woolley from last season’s side, alongside fellow newcomer Adam Extance.

Meanwhile, Hitmen boss Jayne Moss says air fence work is currently being undertaken at the stadium. She said: “Work is still ongoing with the airfence as there has been some preparation work necessary before its installation.

“Everything is ready to go though, it’s just a matter of time.”
