Buxton AC’s Rob White put in a terrific performance at the prestigious Wilmslow Half Marathon last weekend.

White finished 32nd in a field of almost 4,000 runners, with a time of one hour 15 minutes and 18 seconds - a new personal best for Rob at the distance.

Also running for Buxton on the day was Gary Nadin, who recorded a time of 2.06.05.

In the Dronfield 10K, near Chesterfield, Mark Quince finished in 46.36 while Bev Golden came home in 54 minutes flat.

Meanwhile, in her first 10K race, Kate Ledin finished the Sheffield Varsity 10K in 56.59, accompanied by husband Stefan who ran the same time.

On the fells, at the tough, hilly and boggy Edale Skyline, a 21-mile event with 4,500 feet of climbing, Buxton turned out four athletes, with the first home being Darran Hawkins in 3 hours, 49 minutes and 47 seconds.

Following him home was Aleks Kashefi 4.19.08, Mark Cudahy 4.29.59 and Helen Brunt 5.32.44.
