BUDDING bowlers took to the green to display their new-found skills in a round robin competition at Peak Dale Bowling Club.

The competition, involving year six pupils from Peak Dale Primary School, marked the culmination of their bowling tuition.

Winner of the Mary Pimblett Trophy with +29 points was Josh Howe, with runner-up James Blood winning the Mark Grundy Memorial Trophy with +8 points.

Abigail Eaton, from Peak Dale Bowling Club, said: “All the children did extremely well, showing what they had learnt and adding their own skills and flair to the game.

“Hopefully the children will choose to join Peak Dale Bowling Club in the future.”

Nick Townsend, from Buxton and District Lions Club, presented competitors with their trophies and medals.
