THE TOUR of Britain has made its second visit to the Peak District in four days.

Thursday’s fifth stage, which started and finished in Stoke-on-Trent, again called at the village of Warslow as a brief section of Monday’s second stage was reprised.

Dutch rider Marc De Maar, of UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling, won the 146.9km fifth stage, with Team Sky’s Mark Cavendish finishing nearly 12 minutes back to relinquish the overall lead.

Tomorrow’s (Friday) stage six runs from Welshpool to Caerphilly.
