A triangular fixture took place last week, between Calow Netball Club (Chesterfield), Ashbourne Netball Club and High Peak Netball Club.
The teams were made up of predominantly Year 7 students, with the odd smattering of younger and older pupils.
Three games took place, with each side facing each other.
Calow were the strongest team winning both their matches.
The teams contested good matches with youngsters in particular impressing - the High Peak outfit had one team member who was only a year 6.
The matches were closely fought and it was only in the third and fourth quarters that Calow ran away from the other two teams.
High Peak struggled against Calow after half-time and were not challenging as hard for the ball as their opponents, eventually going down to a 25-3 defeat.
The match against Ashbourne was a much tighter affair and after winning the third quarter, High Peak ran out 15-9 winners.
In the final game of the day Calow disposed of Ashbourne 30-8 to seal top spot.
• This Saturday (March 29) the trio of sides, this time their High 5 teams, will meet at Buxton Community School.
