ADAM Allott finished with a maximum at Dudley Heathens on Tuesday night as the Buxton Hitmen recorded back-to-back National League wins for the first time this season.

The Hitmen followed up Sunday’s win over the Sheffield Saints with a 55-40 triumph at the Ladbroke Stadium.

Buxton’s captain Allott topped the rider standings with a flawless five wins to secure a paid maximum, while reserve Ryan Blacklock won his first ever heat in speedway despite suffering from flu.

Team Manager Jack Lee said: “I’m really chuffed about all the lads’ performances tonight.”

The Hitmen are next in action on Friday at Stoke against the Potters.

Lee added: “Hopefully, on the back of these two wins, we can head to Stoke fired up and motivated enough to give them a close meeting. It’s going to be a tough one as the Potters are very good, especially on their home track.”

Results: Dudley 40: Ashley Morris 12+1, Jaimie Courtney 10, Tom Perry 7+1, Danny Stoneman 4+1, Jon Armstrong 4, Darryl Ritchings 3+1, Adam Portwood 0. Buxton 55: Adam Allott 15, Robert Branford 12+1, Luke Priest 7+1, Ben Taylor 7+1, Dean Felton 6+1, Paul Burnett 5+1, Ryan Blacklock 3.
