Ladies from around the High Peak will be picking up hockey sticks in May in the latest ‘Back to Hockey’ event run by Buxton Hockey Club, supported by England Hockey and Sportivate.
Last September saw the first ‘Back to Hockey’ session with 25 ladies taking part in three sessions on the Buxton Community School Astro.
With coaching for all abilities in a fun and friendly environment, the ladies were keen to keep going so this Spring sees eight sessions starting on May 10 and culminates in a mini-tournament in July.
Buxton Hockey Club’s Chris Clayton said: “The response last year was fantastic and we received some great feedback.
“This year we have an ambitious target to get 60 players coming to the sessions.
“We hope we can continue to attract people from all over the High Peak.”
Sessions start on May 10 and are open from age 13+.
